Messiah Lifeways Names Karl Brummer New Vice President

(Mechanicsburg, Pa.)  —   Messiah Lifeways today announced it has hired Karl Brummer as its new Vice President responsible for Human Resources, Community Support Services and Life Enrichment. He will start on March 3.

Messiah Lifeways operates a spectrum of services for 55+ adults in South Central Pennsylvania, including resident communities, enrichment opportunities and community support services created for those who choose to age in place. In its latest fiscal year, the various Messiah Lifeways programs served more than 3,300 older adults.

Brummer comes to Messiah Lifeways from Cross Keys Village, the New Oxford senior living community. There he served as Senior Executive Vice President and was responsible for operations, programming and human resources. Prior to that, Brummer served in executive-level HR positions at public and privately held corporations.

Brummer is also an adjunct instructor, teaching human resources and business courses at Messiah College and Elizabethtown College. He holds a B.S. in Human Resource Management from Messiah College and an M.B.A. from Kutztown University.

Brummer and his wife, Trude, and two daughters live in Carlisle and attend the Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church. He is involved in numerous community organizations and is an adjunct faculty member at several area colleges and universities.
