Mount Joy Country Homes Welcomes Two New Team Members

From: Kim Valvo, Executive Director of Resident Communities for Messiah Lifeways

We are pleased to welcome Lenny Droege, as the new Mount Joy Country Homes Maintenance Assistant! His first day was Monday, October 5. We anticipate that he will work 20 hours a week while also serving on call.

Lenny joins us after recently retiring from the Kellogg’s Company as a Mechanic Machinist with over 30 years of experience in machining, welding, and sheet metal, as well as experience in pipefitting, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics, and HVAC. Lenny has also volunteered as the Chairperson of the Musselman/Vesta Iron Furnace Office building rehabilitation project for Marietta Restoration Associates Inc. (nonprofit) and Rivertownes PA USA for 16 years.

Lenny lives locally in Marietta with his wife. He has two children, two step-children, and five grandchildren. When you see him around campus, please feel free to say hello!

We are also excited to announce Tracey Campbell as the new Mount Joy Country Homes Manager!

Tracey’s first official day will be Monday, October 26. Her first three days will be spent in orientation with various departments at the Mechanicsburg campus prior to her arrival at MJCH later in the week. For the next month or so, she will be spending much of her time learning from Les Engle as he nears his retirement in late November. Residents will have the opportunity to meet her in a safe, socially distanced way, in the near future.

In the meantime, here is some personal information for you to get to know her. Tracey was born and raised in Dillsburg, PA and moved to Lancaster County over 20 years ago due to her job. Her family moved to Mount Joy in 2013. Her husband, Steve, is both a college instructor and Physical Therapist Assistant and their daughter, Riley, who is in middle school, plays soccer and loves being active. Their son Connor, who is in the USMC, married their beautiful daughter-in-law, Ashlyn, in August and they currently live in South Carolina. Tracey enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, hiking, biking, and walking their 2 year old golden retriever, Finley.

Thank you for making them feel welcome!
