Connect mom (or dad) with a real social network that lets them create the life they want while staying in the comfort of their own home.

As part of the national Village-to-Village Network, Connections is a grassroots community of people 55 and better in the Capital Region who choose to help each other live longer and stronger in their own homes.

Connections Member Benefits include:

Approved Vendor List

When a need arises for service providers such as a plumber, pet sitter or handyman, you and your loved one can have the confidence of getting the help needed with vendors who have been prescreened, consistently provide good member experiences and recommended by other members. Vendors are specially trained to work with older adults, may offer special discounts and are committed to doing smaller scale projects and services.

Connecting With Others

Stay healthy, happy, and strong with learning opportunities, social events and day trips. Members have tremendous opportunities to connect with others with book clubs, movie night, museum trips and so much more.

Volunteering

Connections is dedicated to neighbors helping neighbors. The volunteer options and the ability to “trade services” are endless; from making a friendly visit and driving another member to an appointment, to helping in the Connections office or doing a small home maintenance project.

Care Navigation

Navigate the challenges of the healthcare system through information, education, and advocacy. We are pleased to be working with PinnacleHealth System’s Community Health Navigation Network team  including a nurse, social worker and parent medicine professional as a resource to empower and enable members to obtain optimal health and well-being.

Staying Safe At Home

Members receive a personalized home safety evaluation and emergency preparedness review of the home.

Member’s only Hotline and Web Portal

A dedicated hotline and website make it easy for members to a one-call access point for member services, information, social calendar, volunteer and learning opportunities, plus access to the approved vendor list, the home safety evaluations and care navigation.
