A Senior Center and More

Mechanicsburg Place is a friendly senior community center for anyone age 55 and better located in downtown Mechanicsburg. Connect with others over coffee or lunch, volunteer, enjoy wellness programs, go on cultural excursions, take computer classes, learn how to line dance, play cards, join a book club, sing in the chorus, join a pool league, and much more!

Mechanicsburg Place is a program of Messiah Lifeways and is supported, in part, by the Cumberland County Office of Aging and Community Services, the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Aging.


Nutritionally-balanced meals at this senior center in Mechanicsburg are provided by the Cumberland County Office of Aging (CCOA) each day at 11:30 am. A secure box is available for optional donations to CCOA to help cover the cost of food preparation and allow more people to enjoy meals. 24-hour notice is required to reserve a meal.

Activity and Enrichment

From Tai Chi and line dancing, to computer classes, games, billiards, book clubs, and card clubs, there is something for everyone.
